Daily brief
Each morning Random writes a short brief from your mail, calendar, tasks and CRM. It opens with what needs you, and you choose the blocks below it.
How it works
- Random reads your day
Your meetings for today, new mail and drafts, open follow-ups and tasks, and your deals.
Reads - It writes the Morning brief
A written read on your day: what changed, what matters and what to do first.
Writes - You work from it
Open a draft, approve what waits in Needs you, tick off a task, or join your next meeting.
You
Blocks you choose
Press Customize, then Add a block, drag blocks to move or resize them, and press Save layout. The blocks:
- Your day: Morning brief, Today, Next meeting, Drafts ready, Needs you.
- Work and people: Tasks today, Tasks overdue, Follow-ups, Pipeline, People, Time reclaimed.
- Notes and account: Recent notes, Recently learned, Custom note, Usage.
Your follow-ups are sorted into three groups: Can't slip, Ready for your OK and Can wait. A follow-up with a draft waiting sits under Ready for your OK, unless it can't slip. Either way it shows Draft ready: press it to open the draft.
Tips
- Mark follow-ups done and tasks complete, and they leave the brief. A short brief is a useful brief.
- The People and Pipeline blocks read from Random's own CRM or the one you connected. Choose under Settings, CRM source.
- A Private inbox never appears in the brief.
What it does not do
The brief does not act. It shows what is waiting; drafts stay drafts and held actions stay held until you approve them. See Approvals.
