Approvals and what never goes out without you

Random prepares the work. Anything that would leave Random, or change a tool you rely on, waits for your OK first.

Never sent from your mailbox by Random

Email replies. Random writes drafts into your own Drafts folder and stops there. It has no send action to take, and no workflow step can send a reply either. You send from your mailbox. See Inbox and drafts.

Follow-up drafts. A reply or nudge Random drafts for a follow-up waits on the Decisions page. Approve it and Random saves it as a draft in your mailbox. You send it from there.

Held for your OK

These show as a card in Chat or on the Decisions page. Nothing runs until you press Approve. You can also Decline, or type what to change.

  • Creating, editing or cancelling a calendar event. Guests get an email only when you choose to send the invite or the update.
  • Any change to a CRM you connected: a new or edited person, company or deal, a stage move, or a single edited cell.
  • Moving a document or deleting a folder in the Data Room.
  • Asked for in Chat: sending a document for signature, or a reminder to a signer. The Remind button on a request sends the reminder at once.
  • Making a deck in Gamma, or creating or changing a task in Motion.
  • In Chat: snoozing, closing or removing a follow-up, and rewriting a draft you are looking at.
  • In a workflow: Update the CRM, Draft a calendar event, Send a calendar invite and Wait for my approval.
  • Anything Random does not recognise. Unknown actions are held by default.

Done without asking

Sorting mail and writing drafts, meeting prep, tracking follow-ups and remembering context run on their own. Each has a switch under Automations, Built-in. In your own built-in CRM, changes you make yourself save at once. Deleting a task or a note from Chat happens at once, with an undo.

The Decisions page

Decisions lists what is waiting for you, grouped by where it came from, such as a mailbox, or by kind: drafts, CRM, tasks and workflows. Each item says what happens if you approve and what happens if it waits. Choose Approve, Edit, Decline or Later; Later moves an item to the end of the list for this visit. What you approved or declined during this visit shows under Recently decided. For a follow-up draft, the approve button names your mailbox, such as Save to Gmail drafts. When a workflow stops at an approval step, approving lets it carry on from that step.
