Tips for better results
Random gets better from what you show it. These habits make the biggest difference in the first weeks.
Better drafts
- Edit, do not rewrite. Change the draft Random wrote instead of starting over. After 15 substantial edits, it notes how you change its drafts and writes that way.
- Set your voice. Under Settings → Assistant → Voice & language, choose the tone and the formality: Formal, Casual or Match the sender.
- Add your working context. Under Settings → Profile → Working context, describe your work in a few lines. Random uses it when it sorts mail and drafts replies.
- Keep personal mail private. Give a personal mailbox the Private role. Random sorts it for you to read, drafts only when you ask, and keeps it out of your brief, follow-ups and memory.
Better answers
- Teach Random Brain. In Chat, start with “Remember that ...” and add the fact. Correct or forget anything in Random Brain.
- Use @. Type @ in Chat and pick a person, a company or a document, so Random knows exactly who or what you mean.
A shorter brief
- Close follow-ups. Mark a follow-up Done when it is handled, or Snooze it. The brief then shows only what is still open.
- Choose your blocks. Add, remove and reorder the blocks on your brief so it opens with what you need. More in Daily brief.
