Chat
Ask in plain words. Random answers from your mail, calendar, CRM, notes and files, and turns a request into something you check before it happens.
How it works
- You ask
Type your question or press Dictate and speak. Type @ to point at a person or company, and attach up to five files or references to one message.
You - Random looks it up
It searches what your workspace holds: mail, calendar, people, deals, notes, documents and what it remembers.
Reads - It answers or prepares
You get an answer, a table or a document. If you asked for a change, you get a form or an approval card to check first.
Prepares
Getting things done from Chat
- Forms instead of questions. Ask for an event, a task, a follow-up, a note or a person, and a filled form appears. See Say it once.
- Approval cards. A calendar change or a write to a connected tool shows a card. Press Approve or Decline, or say what to change. See Approvals.
- Save to Data Room keeps a document that Chat made.
- Decks with Gamma. With Gamma connected, Random can make a deck there once you approve it.
- Rate an answer with Good answer or Needs work.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Web research (Automations, Built-in) | Off | Lets Random search the web and read pages you ask about. |
| Keep answers brief (Settings) | Off | Keeps replies short unless you ask for more detail. |
What it does not do
Chat does not send email from your mailbox. A reply you ask for becomes a draft in your mailbox. It does not search the web unless you switch web research on. When it is on, your search queries go to a search provider in the EU that may fall back to one in the US, and pages it reads are fetched from their sites. More in AI and your data.
