Inboxes, language and settings
You set most things in two places: your inboxes under Connections, and everything else under Settings.
Inboxes and their roles
Under Connections, connect up to three inboxes and give each a role. One of them is your main inbox.
| Role | What Random does with it |
|---|---|
| Main | Your primary inbox. Full sorting, reply drafts and the full brief. |
| Intake | A shared or inbound inbox. Sorted and summarised, never drafted automatically. |
| Drafts | Drafts only when you ask. Nothing goes to the Data Room or workflows. |
| Private | For personal mail. Sorted for you to read, drafts only when you ask, kept out of your brief, follow-ups and memory. |
Settings, panel by panel
| Panel | What you set there |
|---|---|
| Profile | Your name and role, working context, email signature, working hours and time zone, password reset |
| Assistant | Voice & language: tone, the language of the app and the assistant, formality. Also when your daily brief arrives and what it shows |
| Connectors | What Random learns from each source |
| Appearance | Theme, accent colour and density |
| Privacy & data | What we record, and retention, export and deletion |
| Plan & billing | Your plan, trial and payment |
Built-in automations
What Random does on its own, such as sorting mail, writing meeting prep and tracking follow-ups, each has a switch on the Automations page, under Built-in. Only the workspace owner can change them. More in Automations.
