Data Room and document templates

The Data Room holds your documents in folders. Files are stored in the EU and encrypted with a key that belongs to your workspace alone. Document templates let a workflow fill in a document for you.

How it works

1. Add files

   Drop files on the page or press Upload. Make folders with New folder and move files with Move to folder.

2. Find and open

   Search your files, preview them in the app, and look at earlier versions. Restore an older version when you need it.

   Deleted files are kept for 30 days and can be restored in that time.

Document templates

Under More actions, Doc templates holds document outlines. Use Random's built-in starters as they are, copy one with Fork to make it your own, or start with New template. In a workflow, the Create a document step fills a template in and saves the result. See Automations.

What it does not do

Random does not delete your files on its own. Moving a document or deleting a folder from Chat waits for your approval. How the encryption works: Encryption and workspace separation.
